As announced in our last Clergy Assembly, the parish representatives in the Pagoda for this year’s Fluvial Procession will be security guards (Partido & Rinconada Districts) and transient vendors (Central & Bay Districts).
Fr. Marc Real, tasked as the Captain of the Pagoda this year, communicated already to the parish priests. He presented the requirements:
1. It should be Male; 2. Certification
– for security guards, from the agency or the Institution he is working for
– for vendors, from their association or the barangay chairman
3. Parish Priest’s Recommendation
4. 2×2 ID picture
5. Seminar/Briefing and short Recollection on the day of the Fluvial, Sept 17, 9:00AM at the
Good Shepherd Chapel, in Palacio. Attendance to this Seminar is compulsory.
The above mentioned requirements (#s 2-4) may be submitted to the respective Vicarial secretaries who will also hand in to us the said requirements in the July assembly. By August, you may make the submission directly to St Therese Parish – San Jose, Pili or to the Basilica office.
The deadline of submission will be on the August Clergy Assembly. Failure to meet the deadline would mean giving away your slot to other devotees who are in the waiting list of the committee.
Meanwhile, he added that it is highly recommended that the representatives join the Cofradia de San Jose in their respective parishes. Membership to this association will give a sufficient background and orientation to those boarding the Pagoda. This can also be an opportune avenue for them to nurture their devotion to INA.
Here are some scheduled seminars for Cofradia members:
