AMESD holds 4th training for Hospital Pastoral Visitors

In the context of health care, the “Year of the Parish” can be dubbed as the “Year of the Hospital as a Communion of the Sick and Caregivers”. In line with this celebration, Fr. Tirso Elopre, Director of the Archdiocesan Ministry for the Elderly, Sick and Dying (AMESD), seeks to enjoin 22 Health Institutions for hospital pastoral visitation and Misa pro Infirmis (Mass for the Sick). These are:
– Bicol Medical Center (BMC) and the BMC Psychiatric Ward
– Naga City Hospital
– Universidad de Sta. Isabel Health Services Department
– Villa Marillac Community Center
– Dispensary of Siervas d Maria
– Sta. Maria Josefa Foundation Hospital
– Heart of Mercy Apostolate Center
– NICC Doctors Hospital
– Bicol Access Health Centrum
– St. John Hospitals of Naga City and Goa, Cam. Sur
– Dr. Nilo Roa Memorial Foundation Hospital
– Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital
– Our Lady of Mediatrix Hospital
– Rinconada Medical Center
– Robosa Hospital
– Caramoan District Hospital
– San Jose District Hospital
– Goa Municipal Infirmary
– Ocampo District Hospital
– Bato District Hospital
– Tinambac District Hospital
This particular activity is meant to help fulfill the Ministry’s mandate of giving witness to the compassionate love of Christ by promoting the fullness of life for all, through the pastoral care of the elderly, sick and dying. 
Call for Volunteers
Those who would like to be Hospital Pastoral Visitors (HOPAVI) in their respective parishes (with hospitals or infirmaries in their jurisdiction) may contact their Parish Priest. There will be a 4th HOPAVI Initial Formation Training Program every 2nd Saturday of the month, from Jan. 14 – May 13, 2017, at 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This will be held at the Bicol Medical Center.
